SKD will be teaming with Gresham Smith Architecture and Siebein Acoustics on the new national headquarters for the Seminole Nation in Hollywood, Florida. We were selected for theater consulting and specialty lighting design. We are honored to support the Seminole Nation as one of the important indigenous peoples of the Southeast in their rightful place in North America's culture and economy. The facility will serve as one of three recognized Seminole governments. The Seminole Tribe is the owner of the Hard Rock hotel and casino franchise. The headquarters will encompass 155,513 square feet. Our scope includes the 600-seat theater pre-function areas at 27,250 square feet and the 5-story circular atrium as depicted in the conceptual rendering. Schematic planning begins in November 2024.
